Case Summary: A special investigator of World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) carried on a conversation lasting almost 30 minutes with one person (“witness”). We have withheld his name out of concern for his safety. With the consent of the witness, the entire conversation was taped. The witness revealed a case of live organ harvesting on a Falun Gong practitioner that he witnessed several years ago. |

Canadian Parliamentary Friends of Falun Gong held its first public event on the afternoon of November 16, 2009, a book launch ceremony for the book "Bloody Harvest." The event took place on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. The book's two authors explained the new evidence of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners presented in their new book. |

In a 2008 United Nations report, Asma Jahangir Jahangir, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief, and Manfred Nowak, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture, demanded that China explain the dramatic increase in organs used for transplantation from 2000 to 2005, and the mismatch between the high number of transplants and the relatively few known donor sources. |

Our revised report, Bloody Harvest, (which we prepared on a volunteer basis) concludes, based on evidence which is independently verifiable and available on our website, that the party-state in China and its agencies have over six years put to death a large but unknown number of Falun Gong prisoners of conscience and sold their vital organs for high prices, sometimes to "organ tourists" from abroad.
